Creating tiberium landscape wallpapers

These wallpapers are not exactly original artwork. They are all bare screenshots from Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. So if anyone should be credited for their beauty, it are the artists at Electronic Arts Los Angeles for making such an amazingly beautiful game.

For the rest, it's simply a matter of finding the right angles and spotting nice locations.

So, how exactly does it work?

First of all, you obviously need the game, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. After that, it's quite simple:

  1. Start the game.
  2. Start or load a game where you play in a tiberium-infested 'Red Zone'.
  3. Find a nice spot, and rotate the camera for a nice view on it.
  4. Press the [END] button to hide the game's user interface
  5. Move the mouse to the bottom of the screen, so it becomes invisible.
  6. Immediately press the [F12] key to make a screenshot, before the screen starts scrolling down.

That last part is a bit of a problem, but it's necessary to get the mouse cursor off the screen.

If anyone out there feels like trying this as well, feel free to email me the results.
